How we started

Scissortail Steading began in the later years of 2019, but did not become an official business until the early part of 2020. In the later months of 2019 twenty-five Iberico females and three males were imported to the United States. 

​Since then, Scissortail Steading - Premium Meats has provided a once in a lifetime eating experience to consumers across the Midwest.

About Scissortail Steading

Scissortail Steading is located in Owasso, Oklahoma and is positioned on approximately thirteen acres of Oklahoma native grasses. Our location averages a total amount of 300 pigs, consisting of roughly 60 breeding females, seven breeding aged males and the remainder being finishing pigs at various ages. 

It is here that we raise Ibericos from farrow to finish, never leaving our facility until reaching appropriate slaughter weight. Our livestock is on a constant breeding rotation, which provides customers quality meat at all times of the year. 

While our main focus is to produce happy, healthy, quality livestock. We also pride ourselves in the finished product in which we produce! Our pork is of top quality and uniqueness. ​
